I remember watching a documentary on Bentley years ago. During an interview with one of their chauffeur instructor's, he gave an example of what makes a good chauffeur.
When approaching a stop, at just the moment the car would come to a halt, the driver gently releases pressure(not completely) on the brake pedal preventing the car from lurching.
Does anyone have their own braking techniques?

My drivers' ed. instructor taught us to do that. It pains me when people INCREASE brake pressure at the last moment.

I play that game a lot. By releasing pressure as the car slows I attempt to stop the car completely without being able to feel the actual stop...I then make up for it by aggressively rowing the gears up to the speed limit

Yes, the harder the stop, the quicker the release to prevent the lurch.
